The Deerwood Octet
EXPLAINED

Carolyn and I loosely colloborated on this vision of her. We both primarily used green, but while I used a cape, she wanted wings. The rest of it sort of fell in place with a sort of vaguely golden age look, tho she did give Melissa an orange frisbee for her birthday one year, and is of course herself and avid disk-enthusiäst. Melissa's superhero is extremely influënced by an actuäl costume, her Carnival Night 2003 attire, which also inspyred this. The cowboy hat then gave rise to the boots, belt, and vest, as well as the six-shooters. Interestingly, she was th'only one of my younger generaçionne of Deerwood buddies not t'have a gun during the summer of 2003. Hunter lends himself so well to depixion that he was a main character in two skits I wrote. The more recent of these, “The Incredible Bulk,” featured his all-new catch-phrase “Hunter SMASH!”, which kids were shouting at him all summer. I just superheroed up that costume a bit with some yellow latex.
